GROUP CLASSES

ENROLLMENT IN GROUP CLASSES: Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis into the NEXT AVAILABLE open class. You will automatically be enrolled in all future classes from that date forward. If you select a future start date that has prior openings you risk being bumped by someone who chooses an earlier start date. Monthly plan prices are based upon 48 sessions annually, not 52, with an average of 4 sessions per month. Holidays, scheduled facility closures and months with 5 weeks will impact the total number of sessions delivered in any given month.

GROUP CLASS SCHEDULE: Participants will remain scheduled weekly on their respective day and time, on a continual monthly basis, until the monthly plan is canceled or a transfer request is made.

CLASS TRANSFERS: You may transfer to a different class level, coach, location or time that best fits your needs (subject to availability). Transfers affect all future class instances and are considered a permanent change in schedule. Transfer requests are limited to one transfer per month. Submit your transfer request via email to info@lakesideswimschool.com. Consult with your coach if you have questions on appropriate placement.

CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGES: Lakeside Swim School reserves the right to cancel, change or consolidate group classes.

MISSED CLASSES: Due to the nature of group classes and our facility arrangements, we offer one(1) make-up lesson for a missed class per cycle( 4weeks) .( subject to pool & instructor availability)

How Do Make-Ups Work?

You will still be charged for any classes on your schedule, whether you attend them or not.  If you miss a class, we will provide you with a complimentary make-up credit that you may use to attend any other group class on our schedule outside of your regular class time.  Complimentary make-up credits expire after 30 days and must be used in tandem with an active enrollment. Make-up credits can not be used to pay your tuition. Only one(1) makeup class with be given per cycle( 4 weeks). If any further classes are missed they will be forfeited & no refunds given. ( Due to the progressive nature of the fast forward & Total Immersion programs, no make-up lessons will be given)

We generally recommend that you make-up the class during the same Week of the session that you cannot attend.  For most of our group classes, we teach a specific lesson plan each week and then build upon that lesson in the next class.

The core purpose of a make-up class is to make sure that you don't miss any of the skills and drills that we would cover in the class which you would otherwise miss.  For example, if you were going to miss a class where we were working from the first lesson plan, you'd want to make that class up during Week 1.  Equally, if we were on the second lesson plan, you'd want to make it up in Week 2, and so on and so forth.

We're happy to allow you to make up a missed class on a different Week but it won't have the same effect as if you having made it up in the very same Week.  This is because a) you'll have skipped important skills, and b) you'll essentially be participating in one lesson plan twice in the same Week.  Of course, there's no harm in getting two shots at learning important swimming lessons.  But you're always better off when you don't skip a lesson plan.
